Oksana is a yoga teacher from London who has spent more than twenty five years on the mat and inside her own body.

She knows its edges, its resistances, its particular conversation with gravity and breath.

When she said yes to being tied, she wanted to explore what her practice looks like when rope becomes part of it. Not as restraint. Not as limitation. As another kind of structure - one that pushes the body in the same way that yoga does.

We shot these yoga poses across a cloudy, drizzly morning in the forest in the mountains of Tenerife.

The forest floor as the studio floor. Volcanic rock as the prop room. Trees as the rigging point. Bamboo poles woven into the rope structure as extensions of the body's own lines.

What emerged was something neither of us had seen before: yoga that looks like it grew here. Rope that looks like it always belonged in a forest.
