Every shoot starts with a conversation and a theme. This one started with a question: what does it feel like to be 48, and fully, unapologetically, yourself?

This collection features Sam Jones for the second time. This time she came to a room built from red velvet and shadow, and met something more demanding.

It was hot. Literally - the studio, the lights, the effort of suspension. She stayed present through all of it.

"Being 48 years old and still feeling sexy, admired, feminine," she said afterward. "This shoot was the cultivation of these feelings. It was hot and sweaty, but it fitted the scene."

Sam hadn't come to prove anything. She came to inhabit something. "I was challenged to show myself with all my flaws, while still being comfortable in my body. Being the sexiest version of myself, held by rope."

Not despite the heat. Not despite the effort. Because of them.
