In Full Bloom

Alessandra arrived already in love with tope. By the time we planned this shoot, we'd played with rope together in many sessions. We knew each other's rhythms. We knew what the rope could do when neither of us was thinking about it too hard. So when the theme arrived - flowers, rope, skin, color - it didn't feel like a concept. It felt like the logical next step.

This session was a collaboration in the truest sense. Four people, four roles, no one stepping into anyone else's territory. I tied. Alessandra moved inside the rope the way she always does - present, gorgeous, completely herself. Kien photographed. And Cristina arranged the flowers - working them into the ties, onto the skin, through the suspension points.

The result is the most abundant, alive, color-saturated work I've made. Roses and orchids and wildflowers woven into the hemp rope. Candles burning in open palms. A body suspended upside down with blooms falling from the rope as if growing there.

Alessandra once said that being in rope feels like being held by something alive. With Cristina's flowers in it - I think she was right.
